In short
Our products carry UKCA and CE marking. Connected products meet the UK PSTI Act 2022: no universal default passwords, a stated security update period and a way to report vulnerabilities to security@peeurope.co.uk. We take back old electricals and batteries free of charge.
1.Product safety information
Every product page shows:
- the manufacturer's name, postal address and email address;
- for EU customers, the name and address of the responsible person in the EU;
- the product type, model number and other identifiers;
- the conformity marks that apply and any safety warnings, in English.
Please read the safety instructions supplied with each product before use, and keep them for future reference.
2.Connected product security (PSTI)
Our connected products, including security cameras, video doorbells and smart plugs, comply with the security requirements of the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022 and the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (Security Requirements for Relevant Connectable Products) Regulations 2023:
- no universal default passwords and no passwords that can be easily guessed;
- a published way to report security issues, set out below;
- a published minimum security update period, shown on each product page.
A statement of compliance accompanies each connected product and is available on request.
3.Reporting a security vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in a product we sell, please email security@peeurope.co.uk with the product, model and firmware version, and how to reproduce the issue.
- We acknowledge every report within 5 working days.
- We share the report with the manufacturer and keep you informed of progress.
- We ask that you do not disclose the issue publicly until a fix is available or 90 days have passed.
Reports can be made in English. We will not take action against anyone reporting in good faith.
4.Taking back old electricals (WEEE)
Electrical products are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol: they must not go in household waste. Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013, when you buy a new electrical product from us, we take back an old product of the same type and function free of charge, within 28 days of delivery.
Contact support@peeurope.co.uk and we will send you a free returns label for the returns address we give you when you contact us. You can also take old electricals to your local household waste recycling centre; find one at recycleyourelectricals.org.uk. Customers in the EU can use the municipal collection points in their country.
5.Batteries
Power banks and battery-powered devices contain lithium batteries. Do not dispose of them in household waste or crush, puncture or burn them. Take them to a battery collection point (most supermarkets that sell batteries have one) or return them to us free of charge. Battery capacity is shown on each product page in mAh and Wh.
6.Safety notices and recalls
Any product recall or safety notice is published on this page and on the product page, and we contact every customer who bought the product. Recalled products are refunded or replaced at no cost to you. There are currently no recalls for products we sell.
